Steering click, or pop, or clunk?

Hi! I can finally post! I just bought a 2007 Four Runner SR5 with 112,000 miles on it. We love it! My problem...

When turning the steering wheel while at a stop or going very slowly I hear and feel a faint click or pop under the dash. Once you get going you don't hear or feel it at all. I've had the wife turn it while I listen under the hood and I don't hear it, it's definitely coming from under the dash and can feel it on the 'drive line' of the steering column(not sure the proper name). It's so faint that she barely notices but I want everything to work like it's supposed to.

Any ideas would be great!

Maybe the u-joint in the intermediate steering shaft is binding?

Thanks for the response. That's one of the first things I checked. I put my hand on the joint while I had the wife turn the wheel back and forth, I couldn't feel or hear anything so I assumed it's something in the cab section of the steering assembly. Hmmm...

check LCA bushings. I chased that noise around for a while, sounded like it was coming from several different places.

Replace the sway bar end links. I did mine and the noise went away.
