Steering clunk at low speeds

I know this has probably been discussed before but I can't seem to get this issue fixed. At a slow speed going over rough terrain with rocks, i feel a clunking or bouncing in the steering wheel almost like a knock. Both inner and outer tie rod ends seem tight, the rack bracket bushings have been replaced, ball joints seem tight, and the stabalizer bar links have been replaced. Any ideas? I saw a thread about moving the steering yoke up a 1/4 inch but that seems to be a different style steering. Thanks for your help

Did you try what was suggested back in July? It also worked for me... and really isn't bad at all other than the intimidation factor. Additionally you can check it by grabbing the steering rod as it extends down to the firewall and move the wheel back and forth while holding it. If you can feel that same clunk... your problem is more than likely solved with a roll pin, tack weld, or other means of fixing that slip joint.
 
i had a chance to throw a couple of tack welds on my steering shaft joint yesterday. WOW! Before, driving over every pothole or manhole cover I thought my front end was going to fall apart. I wouldnt say it drives like a new truck, but it is WAY better. The TRE's LBJ's etc are still on my to-do list, but this made a world of difference
 
Steering rack guide?

Google it. There was a replacement from a roller to a bushing. Costs about 60-80$ to fix. I'm doing mine even though I'm not entirely sure it's worn. =)

I know my bushings are worn and they are also getting replaced.
