Steering Issues! I Have Some Questions..

So I received an alignment from Sears about a month ago, not even.
I have been driving mainly highway lately and have been noticing a big problem. My steering is going out slowly. I am having to constantly steer left and right just to stay straight. So im wobbling the steering left and right.

Also, when I have the engine on, am in park, when i turn my steering wheel left and right, i get a popping from the steering.

My mechanic said it sounds tie rod related.

Any ideas anyone?
(If anyone needs more info, let me know. I believe I might still be too vague.)

It sound's like you have to replace your steering rack bushings as said by YotaDan.

I just got my rack bushings replaced about a month ago.
I was having that problem awhile ago and got it done. You guys think it would break that quickly?

I doubt this is your problem then if you just replaced them. I don't have much experience in this part of problems, so I will just chime in when I get another "idea".
 
inner tie rods and outer tie rods will change your life. OEM inners for sure, i use cheap outers, and just replace them all the time cause they get beat up from wheeling quickly.

Sounds to me like you should go back to sears and have them double check their work. They more than likely didn't tighten down one of the nuts properly. Alignments are so easy to do and if there was an issue before they started working on your car they should have told you about it. If a tie rod is bad or going bad the person doing the alignment should have noticed right away and informed you about it.
 
with that^^^ being said, ive gone to have my vehicle aligned before, and they flat out refused to do it due to the condition of my out tie rods. . . this is where you need to find a good shop, and more importantly, an experienced and honest tech to ALWAYS do your work for you. I have a guy who is the only one i will allow to do my alignments, if he discovers something, he drops the vehicle back down, calls me, tells me whats wrong, i fix it, THEN i bring it back to spend money on an alignment. They are way too expensive to be shittin out money to a shop that is doing it just to do it. . .

remember. minimum wage paid people, gets you minimum wage quality jobs.
