Hey guys, ok first post joining this site. I have a couple questions.
I recently had an inspection done on my 1991 4run (4wd) and it came up that the recall for the center link (steering arm) hadnt been done and they threw a new one in. Now here is my issue, it was done a month ago and iv had nothing but problems; i put a new steering damper in months and months before hand but i just hand time to Take a look as to what was happening. Now It was when i turned hard left (to lock) and it would be extremely hard to bring back and when it started to It popped Big time, with enough force that it gradually blew my steering damper seals and lost all fluid.
What was happening is the nut on the steering damper was Catching on the steering Stop on the driver side and locking into place, now it never ever happened until they did the center link. Now what would cause it to be that out of wack, would changing that link Screw it up enough to catch that stop? How close does your go to that stop?
I had to dremel out so it wouldnt catch, and dealer said it wasnt there problem and werent going to fix it.
Any ideas :wtf:
