steering lock!

i was wheeling the other night and i went through is massive puddle of water and for no reasion my steering almost completely locked up for no reason then like fifteen seconds later everything was fine. i dont have the slightest clue as to why this happens but if anyone could give me a hint i would be forever greatful

Agreed. Belts don;t have to squeak or squeel to let you know they're slipping. Tighten the belt, or better yet replace it....
