Steering vibration

Bought my 07 4Runner a couple a montha ago and read the same thing on Edmunds. The first time I got on the highway I noticed the vibration. The dealership took off the Dunlops and put on Bridgestones and I don't notice the vibration anymore. Personaaly I had a hard time believing it was just the tires but that seems to have solved the problem but the problem is real.

redskin hit the nail on the head. The dunlops that are equipped from the factory are POS tires. It's not the truck, just swap out your tires and your good to go. I swapped my dunflops out with a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers and it was like night and day difference. Ended up selling the dunflops on Craigslist to a local Tundra owner for $350.

Even though the article is referring to the 3rd generation, it seems to apply to the 4th generation as well.
Also...
If there seems to be consistent issues with the Dunlops, why has Toyota continued to use them?

My brother used to work for a tire company and said that Toyota will go to a company and tell them they are producing 4000 4Runners and ask what deal can they get on tires so whoever gives the best deal gets the business. I agree with you, though, why continue with a "known" crappy tire? Doesn't make good business sense.
