How are you guys dealing with the leather steering wheel cover wearing out? Is there a way to replace it?

Where in SoCal are you located? I had mine reupholstered for $150 which I found was only a little more than finding a used steering wheel and then you have brand new leather.

I agree with Mizzle. Wheelskins are roughly $50 from autoanything. They look nice and don't add much thickness to the wheel. Easy installation.

Thanks for the replies.
Do the wheel skins fit tighter than in their pictures? They look 'sloppy and loose' in their pictures. zacattack20 Where did you get yours re-upholstered? I'm in San Diego.

It was at a place called california auto upholstery in garden grove in Orange County. It was the cheapest I found and one of the very few places that would actually do a steering wheel. It was a few years ago so his prices may have changed.

When installing you must stitch it and keep it tight. It is snug and tight if done right. Takes 30 - 60 minutes depending on skill and attention to detail.

i scored a BRAND NEW wheel on ebay for 125. only problem was it was gray (must have been from a non-US market). i decided to take it and have it died black at a local leather shop and for around $35....they ruined it with crappy work...

try also to hit up a local Toyota junk yard in your area. I have found a few things at my local Yota yards.
