Steering wheel movement

I'm new to the 4Runner world. I bought a 2006 Limited V8 4WD on Thursday and have noticed the steering wheel likes to move quite a bit. I didn't think much about it, until I really got up to interstate speeds and it was scary. I've read a few threads, but none really pertain to the 2006. Anyone have any first thoughts? Tires are good and show little uneven wear.

Sound like I would start with a alignment.

If the alignment shop is any good and replicable, if there is a reason they can't do a alignment, they should tell you why as something needs to be replace or repaired to do the procedure.

Are you talking about it shaking at speed? That would be a wheel balance issue. If there is play then you should look at your alignment.
