You gotta search. There are a couple threads with step by step instuctions for headlights. Taillights are cake - 2 10mm nuts holding them on. There are access panels in the back for you to remove in order to get to those nuts.

To black out: use spray - I've used model car window tint spray before. You can find it at a hobby store. Others use VHT Niteshade.
