Going after a BS in Professional Aero at Embry Riddle. The class is Introduction to Computer Applications. I was going to CLEP it, but elected to take the class online in a Web Cam type forum. I have a 1 year old daughter and work nights, so, this class was an experiment to see if I would have the time to devote to the work.

good luck with the classes man. I used the gi-bill for my BS. I strongly suggest anyone in CA go the community college to UC/CSU route while it is still affordable.

I have never heard of introduction to applications, I studied Java and C, C+. Data structures is a b$tch!

I can't wait for sites like facebook and twitter to just fade away into darkness because I am sick and tired of having every online/tv and radio outlet infected with them and the moronic opinions of their users...

For what it's worth to you: I used to use my computer more for college studying/education while I was in school (have since graduated undergrad) and obviously some social networking.
Now it's primarily for email, trolling the forums, shopping on occasion, etc. Once I begin the Masters program in a couple of months, it'll be ALL school....can't wait! ha. :hunter:

My use is sort of mixed. A typical day I'm staring at two screens. My main computer is where I'm working. Video production. My 2nd computer is where I entertain myself while my computer is "working".

I put the poll on a couple other sites. In the end I had about 500 people take the survey. Media Consumption was 68%. Education only accounted for 9%.

Mine is mixed, but I guess I'd have to say media usage, then education is a close second. I mean I have music playing while doing homework, vid's to pass the time in class, stuff like that.
