I have recently installed a Pioneer Avic D3 in my 2006 SR-5 using the Metra 95-8202 dash kit. This is the kit that has the two smaller filler pieces that go on the right and left sides of the radio for the non-JBL vehicles.

Forget the Metra kit and buy yourself a Scosche kit (you need part # TA1465B) for a much better look and fit.

If you search this site, you'll find pics of the Scosche kit used with your set up.

Thanks Even Steven.

I have seen that kit before, but it appears to only fill the gaps on the sides like the Metra kit. I am trying to find one that will fill the side gaps and the small gaps at the top and bottom. The look today with the Metra kit isn't horrible, but it cerainly doesn't look like it really "fits" the vehicle.

What I'd like to do is use the JBL installation kit but I am not sure if it will fit into the non-JBL SR-5 dash.

If someone has a pic of the opening in their dash for the JBL radio that they could post it might be a great help.

Thanks!

The gaps on the bottom are from the kit or from your headunit?

You shouldn't have any gaps on the top or bottom at all.

Good question. The head unit is not quite as tall as the Metra kit spacers - it leaves about a 1/8" gap at the top and bottom of the radio. Again, it doesn't look horrible, I'd just like to find a better fitting install kit if I can. Just thought the JBL dash kit might finish it off a little nicer if it will fit.
