I have a 95' T4R, and I'm having a problem with it. It's a factory stereo with changeable discs. Ever since I got it about a year ago, whenever I turn on the radio/cd, I could hear something playing just for one second, then it quit working. Everything else would work, like if I use radio, I can change the stations, and if I use CD, i can see that it's playing because I see that the time is changing, you know like if a song is 3:50 long, it would play from 0:00 to 3:50. Any ideas what would be wrong? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like something might be going into protection mode. Possibly short. Check all your speakers, or speaker wires. Listen as you turn your stereo on to see if one of the speakers is NOT working for that split second... it may point to your culprit, but I'd bet theres a short in your speaker wires.

Try listening for that split second to make sure each speaker is playing before it shuts off. Maybe put your ear next to each of them as you turn it on.
Once you figure out which speaker it is, you pull that speaker and double check make sure the terminals have not come loose.
Try that and report back to me. I don't have a ton of time to write at the moment.
