I have an 03 limited and it has the multi disk changer in the dash. Trouble is, I cant get it to load a CD. I read the manual, it said to push the load button and the word "wait" flashes on the display. I gently push the cd in the slot... (the manual said it should grab it) it never does anything.... is there some secret to loading?

fyi, I have pushed eject and it reports no cd loaded.

The mods may move this over to the Audio and Electronics section, but I'll give it a stab.

Questions: Have you owned this T4R since new? If so, this has just started? OR Did you just get this T4R and this is how it has acted since you got it?

I only ask those, because it sounds like the radio may be hosed. I've had this happen twice ('03 Camry, '07 Monte Carlo) and both times, the dealership pronounced the audio unit dead and replaced them. If you bought it this way, I'd address it with the seller. If it's just happened...well, I don't think I can't help you much.

The internals of these in-dash changers appear to be quite fragile and once they stop loading and ejecting, they're normally toast.

My wife's Monte Carlo's changer died while full of discs...the dealership sent off the dead unit and we got the discs back in about 3 weeks...at least that worked out.

I will be selling my head unit off my 04 Limited sometime soon. Its not the CD changer but it is the premium JBL setup so itll be plug & play
