Stick Figure Family things are played out:
I never liked them anyway: no one really cares how much you can breed or how much oxygen your family hogs on a daily basis.
The ones I see a lot and which make me scratch my head:
- The cartoon kid peeing on things, usually a Ford or Chevy. Give it a rest, Ford and Chevy fans, because humanity doesn't lean one way or the other. In fact, most of us don't care. There are just as many crappy or good examples of each on the road.
- The "In Memory of..." followed by someone's name and date they died. I can think of no better way to honor someone's legacy than to dedicate my POS Kia Rondo to all the great things they did while on this earth...
- A person's last name stenciled across the top of the windshield in huge letters. I saw "GONZALEZ" yesterday. I guess I needed to know his name because...
why???
- "Mean People Suck." Just sounds way too whiny to me. If I think a "mean" person sucks
that bad, I'd just as soon actually
do something about it before I'd wear a stupid sticker to proclaim it.
- Any 'fashion' decal, like the DC shoe logo, the little cartoon grenade, or the logo of any energy drink... Nothing says "I'm-only-19" quite like giving free advertising to one of these companies, simply because everyone else in your peer group is also doing it. But it's not just for young people - around here, the "Amsoil" sticker is a big one: let me guess, you just discovered synthetic petroleum products
now, and for that you're proud enough to put the free sticker on your car?
A couple I've seen that I liked:
- "No one gives a shi$ about your honor student..."
- "Life is Crap"
- "Careful Man, there's a Beverage Here" (from
The Big Lebwoski)
- "I'm not 'Fonda' Hanoi Jane"
- "Biodiesel: a Middle Finger for the Middle East"
