sticky calipers? all regions or just wetter areas?

How common are sticky calipers in dry climates like Arizona? It seems like, in reading through threads, the majority of complaints come from people living in harsher climates (haven't really seen complaints from places like AZ and California). Am I just not seeing them?

Just curious to hear of peoples experiences as I am in need of doing brakes soon.

I'm in AZ and truck is from AZ. I'm not experiencing any bad behavior with braking (no pulsing, pulling, etc ...) so I'm not too concerned about sticky calipers, but want to think ahead to possible problems/solutions.

Mine are still good after 11 years in Atlanta, GA and TX. Never driven north of I-20.

Road salt is the culprit, maybe?

are the sport calipers know for sticking or is it the calipers on the SR5?

Mine is from Seattle. I live in flagstaff. One caliper was frozen when I bought it. Replaced calipers. One was dragging again recently, but not completely bad. It's been through snow rain and cold this winter, but no road salt here and no rust anywhere on the truck.

I've had mine since '05 and the original owner. in the past 3 years I have changed the calipers on both sides. The brakes still worked due to only one of the pistons freezing. The other one worked.

I was quite surprised how easy it was to change them out. And a LOT cheaper too.
