Stiff brake pedal

My brake pedal will get stiff after cruising at highways speeds for a while. I mostly notice it when I'm getting off an exit and slowing down. Brakes still work but are much harder to press. Break booster? I live in Florida btw. 2000 sr5 manual 4x4 with 170,000 miles.

Im wondering if theres water in your brake fluid... you could also check the vac line going to the booster, see if its cracked

The vacuum lines look good. The check valve seems like it may be loose. I'm not sure how it should feel though.
