I'd say they are crazy for asking 7 grand for a salvage title. There are plenty of 4Runners out there, I would keep looking.

my dad drove and said if feels "heavy". he doesnt want me to get this car cuz its a manual. he thinks i wont like driving stick.

how much should i offer this guy?

Do a carfax and see if you can find the reason it's a salvage title. That's probably why it has such low miles, cause it's been sitting at the bottom of a lake or something haha.

But yeah get as much info as you can on it before buying a salvage. It'll always be worth less down the road if you decide to sell it.

says it is an automatic also

the craigslisting also says it is an automatic.

Don''t read too much into a salvage title.

My 99 daily driver was an Oregon branded title which became salvage in Colorado.

It was rolled and all 4 doors came from a 96 donor vehicle

With proper checkup a salvage vehicle can be just fine but I would agree the price is plenty high for one with a salvage title.

I would offer around $5500 if otherwise it checks out good. Is that some rear bumper damage, or maybe just the camera angle.

2000 5 speeds are not exactly plentiful. It should hold it's value fairly well. Check for the coveted rear locker switch-I can't quite see the picture that well-left of the steering column.

I would probably contact the owner and try to get as much information out of him as possible but that's just me.

You're lucky to find a manual one. I've all but given up my search for a 4Runner. It's just logistically impossible for me. Whenever a dealership gets one, it gets sold so fast that I don't even have a chance to look at it. I can't buy privately unless I miraculously manage to sell my car exactly the same time I find a 5spd 4Runner. Good luck with it. I'm still bitter that Toyota discontinued the manual 4Runner. I personally doubt I'd ever be able to get one. I've test drove a few but just couldn't sell my car in time to get it. They are awesome cars to drive. I can't say much about the automatic ones as I hate driving automatic and will not touch and automatic one, but from watching the lady at work parking hers, it jumps and bounces a lot cause I guess the gas pedal is really touchy.

Much better deals out there. With the shot of the rear you can clearly tell that it was run into by someone (dents in bumper, badges are all over the place) and from the one interior shot there was, I couldn't see the transfer case lever, so from that one picture I can't really guarantee that 4Runner is 4WD

If you're not picky about whether you want auto or manual, then I'd say go for an automatic one as they are more plentiful and you'll have a better chance of finding the exact one you want (in terms of condition and mileage). Because they are more plentiful, you may be able to get a better price.

i got my 4runner off of autotrader, so i'm recommending it. i live in shreveport, which is about 200 miles from you, i searched within 200 miles from me so all of these should be within 30 minutes or so of you.
i like this first one, and it is a complete steal. i wouldn't buy anything with over 150k miles although it will run well past that.

this is a steal too, rear diff lock and push button 4WD, it is missing a cupholder though, no biggie.

this is a good deal, it has dark tint on already, and its in really good condition, i'd say you could talk about 300 or so off the price.

i ve seen the one at fall creek motors and its abused

the silver is nice but a little out of my price range

the white one is a good deal especially with the newer 4runner wheels, but its all the way by dallas sh%t
