have you replace the boots ? you can buy just the boots at Autozone or checkers.

Is it a higher mileage vehicle? If so, I would definitely replace those wires or boots. As far as fuel mileage goes, a clogged fuel filter will cause bad mileage, but will not cause a misfire. It should be replaced annually.

Why was it misfiring in the first place? Did the plugs have carbon tracks down the side? If so, you need to replace the wires/ or coils depending on what cyl it was on. Do yourself a favor, dont buy kragen crap. Get oem

which cylinders does it say is misfiring? have you tried swapping coils or boots, or anything around to see if the misfire code follows anything from cylinder to cylinder.

Like others have said, replace the wires and coils. And get OEM. I get Autozone/Checkers/NAPA stuff for brakes, wipers, etc., but not engine stuff. I always go OEM for plugs, wires, belts, etc.

I had a cylinder 2 misfire and i tried replacing plugs, wires, etc. Turned out to be a faulty fuel injector. Cost a lot to fix. Would of done it myself but was about to go on a trip a few days after it happened so I didn't have time. I think these parts go for about 125 bux brand new. Pretty expensive fix. Good luck. check out your fuel injectors. mine was 97
