Stock 15" Wheel brakes, information needed.

Alright, so I'm looking at doing the Tundra Brake Upgrade on my 4runner while the front end is apart.

My question is pretty simple.

Does anybody know the actual differences between the brakes on a 4Runner that came with 15's, and ones that came with 16's? I've heard they're different, but have been unable to find anything with actual proof.

I need to know if there are differences in the backing plate, caliper mounting, etc. Anything that may affect my upgrade. if anyone can measure the diameter of their 16" backing plates that would be awesome, there's only so much I can get from pictures.

I know there are a lot of threads about the tundra brake upgrade, but i haven't found a single one yet that had a 4runner that came with 15's, I tried searching but only came up with guys looking for 15's to clear the calipers.

Mine came with 15" and I did the tundra upgrade ... In doing the job, I didn't notice any inconsistencies between mine and the write-ups I followed (which I assume were based on models that came with 16" wheels).

Really, it's just cutting a small piece of the backing plate. It's pretty easy, and makes a huge difference in performance! Don't forget about your spare though - I assume you've gone to 16" wheels, but want to make sure you don't have your old 15" spare under the truck.
