stock 265/65/17 tires, any good and inexpensive?

Hi guys, a newb here
need new tires and dont want to spend any more than i have too, saving up for my next tank of gas!
So Cal so mostly street and freeway driving with a some dirt road miles in the desert and mountains driving my sons Boy Scout patrol around.
any opinions and or deals out there folks?

are the Bridgestone tires the OEM ones?
I'd like to keep the cost including mount/balance/stem/disposal/and other BS fees under $800 for four, $700 would be even better.
In reality all season or AT, aggressive looking or not shouldnt make a big difference where i drive but AT and somewhat aggressive looking would be cool.
ya never know I might actually have to figure out the 4WD lo and lock button!

Check out the Firestone Destination A/T. They are cheap, quiet, perform great and have a mildly aggressive look.

I put the Hankook Dynapro RF10's on my 07 and really like them. Agressive tread, quiet ride great price less than $ 800 installed.

I have 4 nearly new Michelin Cross Terrains for sale. Right now I am asking $400.00 for the 4. The size is 265/65/17. These are something like 180ish each at Costco.

If you don't mind going up 1 size, these tires would be exactly what you are looking for: Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour 255-75-17

These are aggressive looking AT tires that provide excellent on-road performance at a great price: $167 a piece and an $80 rebate on top of that.

Many members here, including myself, up-sized tires with non-lifted rigs.

I plan to order a set of tires off Discount Tires Direct(dot)com and then bring the tires to a Discount Tires store for an install. The install cost is $5 more than buying the tires at the store but surprisingly the price is better on line and at least here in MN there is no sales tax on the internet purchases. Also Discount Tire continues the lifetime balancing and rotation if they install.

Another way to save money is by upsizing to 265/70/17. As far as a good tire, I am torn between the Hankook DynaPro ATm and the Nitto TerraGrappers for an AT tire. I want something more aggressive than the HTs that are on my 4R.

If you plan no off-road then I would recommend the Kumho Road Venture APT, they have been on my 4R since I bought it 3 years ago. They are the quietest tire I have ever owned on any vehicle, very comfortable, they are also good in rain and okay in light snow. Overall a good tire for So Cal.

Another vote here for the Firestone Destination AT, especially for those off-road trips. And if those dirt roads are no big deal, then the Firestone Destination LT's are a bit quieter. Either tire is a very good bang-for-the-buck. Another winner in my book are the General HT's.

I have looked a good bit on the forum and have pretty much the same question. I have looked through about 20 of the 53 tire/lift thread, but still want to know a little more about any rubbing issues on some 265-70-17. I have the Dueler HT on my 4Runner now and the AT on my Tacoma. Though I don't drive the Tacoma much at all anymore. Which would be the better tire this is not a 4WD and it is our main car for traveling back and forth to work. Little to no offroading. Though I do like the more aggressive look, but that is for pure aesthetics. So what would you recommend? Or just stick with the 265-65-17 Dueler HT?
