Stock "5 Star" Wheels & 285-75r16 Tires

I just scored some All-Pro 1.25" wheel spacers off CL for $100. I may as well name this truck the Craigslist mobile because thats where I've found everything so far including the truck haha.

I should have taken a pic of mine when I trail tested it the other day. Also, the All Pro spacers were not the correct ones. After looking at them and looking at the spidertrax I ended up going with I would say don NOT run lug centric only spacers.

Either way. I have the 3 spoke wheels and the 285 75 16 BFG at KO2s rubbed the control arm pretty hard just sitting flat on the ground so the spacers had to go on. When wheeling with no sway bars they rub like crazy. In the front I trimmed the bumper and no real issue there but they dig into the firewall, HARD. I don't think the pinch weld alone is going to do it as they were hitting the fender even. In the rear the rub the bumper really hard (took some chunks out of the brand new tires grrr).

I think this is going to be really vehicle dependent really. I have the OME lift heavy springs f/r and OME shocks front and rear. I I'll have to go with a body lift as well. I will say this though, I wasn't driving up a bumpy road, This thing was flexed to the bumpstops most of the day or at least close to it. Normal driving they are just fine.

I ended up going with different wheels that gave me plenty of UCA clearance, the tires look to be out to the edge of the limited fender flares. I did have to trim a lot of the front plastic fender flare & pinch-weld area and still need to do some more up front especially the rear area of the front wheel well, overall not too bad though.

I would love to track down some wheels that would help me out. It's amazing how many things work for some of our trucks and doesn't on others. I will try to hunt down something with around 4" backspace or so at Discount and see if they will test fit them for me.

Here is the info from the wheels I got at Discount Tire. Definitely clear the UCA, but of course the further out they stick the more plastic that needs to be trimmed, these seem just about right to me.
