Was thinking of getting the ARB bumper and winch for my 07 4runner but now the place installing says I cannot use my stock foglights with the bumper and I have to buy ARB's lights and kit that costs over $300. Says the stock ones don't or won't mount. If this is a ploy of ARB to get an extra $300 per bumper I think it sucks and will probably change my mind. The stock fogs are plenty good for me. I feel it's a sham so to speak.

Looking at the ARB bumper, I don't see how they would fit... ARB designed the bumper to their standards, not necessarily to Toyota's. The Fogs are optional from ARB, but I'd say you're better off with them.
I'm a retired sheet metal worker and know I could make a bracket. In fact I could make the bumper. Unfortuneatly because of insurance reasons I cannot make one at any of the shops I used to work at. Kind of (excuse the language) pisses me off to have done that kind of work for over 34 years and have to pay retail prices. Can't even get a professional discount. Oh well! that's life after retirement.

Well I said the heck with it and am going to get the ARB bumper with ARB fog lights and Warner XD9000 winch in a pretty good package deal. Everything should be here and installed in a week to 10 days. Now I guess I'll have to do some real off roading but I really am doing this because I'm always in deer infested areas. Been more than once with close calls. The Kettle Falls area of the state is just packed with deer and wild turkeys. I go there a few times a year. If I'm gonna hit one or end up in a ditch I feel I'm covered either way. Won't get bigger tires until next fall or winter. Can't get in any further over my head on my credit card after this.
