stock rear locker in 96

just like it says, how much work would it be to install a locker in the rear end? besides the wiring, would i have to do a full axle housing swap?

It's easier if you just get the entire rear axle from an e-locked 4Runner and just swap it over.

All in all, it ain't that hard. Just remember, e-locked axles contain 4.30 gears...which means you'll have to swap your front gears to 4.30 too.

E-lockers were also available with 4:10, and 4:56 gearing, depending on application.

I have 4:10's in my '97 V6, 5speed, 4x4, E-locked 4Runner.
