Stock Rims painted!

I forget. It may have been overkill also. In reality, the first coat of primer covered all the areas it needed to.

dam i was going to get mine powder coated but from seeing how the tremaclad turned out i may just do this, i think the biggest benfit of doing it like this is the saved expense of having to get the tires unmounted then remounted,as well as the actual cost of the powder coat....which isn't very much to me but still money that could be used else where.

lol, don't get me wrong man i love them, just wondering what you were going for buddy! you know the glossy black or the Metal Mulisha thing, i think both are great imo, far better than the bling bling of the chrome or sliver either way!:dancin: :bigok:

well I went with a flat black. I accidently bought a glossy black and sprayed that on my wheels first, really did not like they way it looked. So I went out and bought flat/matte black.

What kind of paint did you use to paint the rims? Primer?

Good question Piperoo, I notice a lot of people painting their rims on here but wonder if they have problems with if lifting after a while. I would think that either and Engine block paint or a BBQ paint would be a good play since it is also rated for the heat. Yes our wheels do get hot from not only the friction from the road but mainly they act as a heat sink for the brakes also.

Those prices are approximately what I remember, but I know they are extremely close to what I paid.

I got my paint from Napa. It was a couple bucks a can. I haven't had any kind of flaking, or paint loss. It's held up really well.
