stock skid plates from 2008

so i have my stock skid plates from my 2008 sport, took them off a few years back when i was working on the 4runner and never got around to putting them back on. i don't typically go "off road" so thought maybe i don't really need them. Are they worth selling?

They also act as a splash shield keeping your alternator, a/c compressor, etc from getting wet. I personally would keep them on for that reason. I also think they help direct some cooling air flow underneath the truck. Notice the air scoop and screens under the one on the right. They do serve a purpose.

I was in the city the other day had to turn around, so pulled into a street and backed into an intersection did not notice a deep drainage cross run in street and i heard the sound of metal scraping concrete. Just glad the stock safety pad cover was installed.
You never know where danger really is,you don't have to be off road to run into a problem.

im noticing ppl are interested in my skid plates, well after what gdmeadors talked about.... i went ahead and threw them back on the 4runner. they were taking up space in my garage and i was merely trying to clean up the garage lol so guess i'll just keep them and believe they're actually beneficial.
