Stock strut length/Adjusting Icon CO's

Does anyone have the length of the uncompressed stock strut? I am planning on installing my Icon CO's at stock ride height for now (crazy, I know) and want to match the lengths before I install.

Spring rate and preload are different between them. You'll have to measure your ride height before install, then adjust the coilovers to match, after installation.

Ah, bummer thats a good point. Ok I guess ill change the question, anyone installed Icon CO's to level, or stock height who much thread was showing? That should at least get me close

ya i read it and he did pretty much what i was trying to do but didn't answer my questions exactly. Also I figured out you can't adjust the coilovers when they aren't on the truck the shock shaft just rotates. so ill just figure it out when i install it

You can with spring compressors, but yea, it is generally easier when on vehicle. Spray the threads with oil.

As mentioned above, I like the idea of mounting them and then adjusting them.

Though you might be able to crank them down ahead of the installation it will be much harder.

ICONs come preset at 2.5" of lift (but varies for each truck). So to lower it closer to stock height, you will need to lessen the lift or unload the springs about 1.25" on the threads. It is roughly a 2 inches of lift per 1 inch of threads. It is a close approximation to get you started.
