Stock tires rubbing

I’ve been reading the forums for awhile and have been contemplating getting new tires. I’m currently running the stock size on Dunlop AT20 with the TRD pro rims. Today I noticed the front passenger is rubbing in reverse at full lock, which is really deterring me from going bigger. I really didn’t think I’d have to shave the front bumper BEFORE going to the 285s. Any insight would be much appreciated

Normal if you have a non-Pro with Pro wheels on it. The bumper on the Pro's actually gets trimmed at the port (or used to at least, not sure if they're done at the factory now), to account for the offset of the TRD Pro wheels. Without the trim, they'll rub even on stock'ish tire sizes.

Yep. Mine is trimmed. To my knowledge they don't add the Pro wheel in Japan, instead they add them at the port and they trim the bumper. You'll have to trim more when you go bigger as well.

Before getting lifted, I was running with 275 KO2 with the TRD pro wheels. I did the fender liner mod but did not trim the bumper. I would rub at full lock. Now after getting the lift I don't have that problem. But now I also want to add wheel spacers and suspect that there will be rubbing and will have to trim.

So maybe the 255 tire upgrade will limit how much I have trim in comparison to the 285 combo. Back to the drawing board.

Spacers will cause rub... but the stance is beautiful. I have 265/70/17 ko2 with 1.25 spidertrax spacers with a leveling kit from daystar. I just removed the front mud guard and no rub.
