Stock tweeters

Just curious.... When y'all pulled your doors apart and replaced speakers, the little tweeter cover up by the mirror..... Was there a tweeter in there? I got a limited with stock speakers and after market deck.

That's probably likely. The PO probably replaced the speakers with some Coaxial speakers with integrated tweeters. You can pick up a set of Component speakers (separate woofer/tweeters) for about 50 bucks or so on Car Audio Stereo - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers

Yes but you may have to "custom install" the tweeter in that little crevice. I used 3M mounting tape to hold the tweeter in.

When I do my front speaker upgrade, I plan to just drill out the existing grilles for the tweeters and use the mounting hardware that comes with the new tweeters. Of course I am going to be using Infinity Components, and they come with great mounting hardware.

I swapped my OE tweets out w/ some MB Quartz I had from my civic

I have put both infinity reference and Kappa tweeters in the front door spot by the window.

It looks like the old ones were cut out for some reason. Wire was cut. No upgrade on the speaker from PO. Went to the local sound shop, they gave me a used kicker for the passenger door speaker that wasn't working and bought two tweeters for $15. They are gonna call me also when they have some other ones from an install. Love being local!
