I noticed that when temps are in the 60s or lower my car would squeak and rattle (passenger side only) simply pulling out of my driveway or going over speed bumps. I told myself I would look into this when the weather warms up. The noise goes away as temps warms above 70F. Anyways I working on the vehicle yesterday and decided to slide underneath the vehicle to do a visual check of the front struts to check for any leakage, thinking maybe strut has worn out something. What I notice on both sides of the vehicle was a oil/grease stain coming down the arm starting at the upper ball joint. Now it’s not globs of grease more like when oil is leaking and attracts dirt type stain. Is this common on factory upper ball joints? I haven’t taken wheels off to do a closer examination but I thought it just looked odd to me. I’m waiting for the weather to get a tad warmer before I install my ICONs and SPC UCAs but just wanted to know.
