i do have to agree, BG products are the way to go. we sell them at our shop and i have seen every single one of them perform exactly as advertized. thats all i will use for additives now
Ill have to use that next time! But anyways a quit 12 hour update on the stuff. it works nice either its the placebo effect or it works. I noticed my throttle response and everything is a lot better and my engine seems to sound/run better seems to move faster also!
What are ones worth using?
Do you guys only use the ones that you do once a year?
If not what other ones do you use i see so many choices but i dont even know like....anything:rockthrow:
In other words...i feel like some cancel each other out and do some things the other ones do but does other things also...
I've used BG's 44K once a year in all my vehicles for the last 15 years and see no reason to change that. It cost a bit more than the others but that's because it works. For a more frequent treatment (in between BG's 44K) I've used redline's fuel treatment.
I have used various additives throughout the years, but the most important thing is regular preventive maintenance - such as frequent oil & filter changes.
I have used STP products, particularly the "Super Concentrated Fuel Injection Cleaner" in the black bottle. I pour one in after every oil change, and have done so with nearly every vehicle I have owned during the past twenty years. No problems at all with fuel delivery or clogging.
:thumb3:
In the crankcase, I have used Rislone (yellow bottle) and Marvel Mystery Oil (red & black bottle) - in both gasoline and diesel vehicles. Good stuff!!
P.S. I have heard that Seafoam is the shiznit, but have not yet tried it myself.
P.P.S. For problems caused by ethanol in gasoline (E10 fuel), nothing beats 'Startron' for fixing the gum, varnish and hesitation; particularly in lawnmowers!
Sweet! I feel like they wouldnt make stuff like this if there wasnt a problem IDK! But i like it i think im gonna add some every other fuel tank now. @jeff kleb im gonna have to try that other stuff out
