Wanted to see if anyone has any input on this noise I have been hearing lately. This started recently as soon as the colder weather set in and was not happening at all before. Whenever I cold start the car for the first time in the day I get a strange noise that almost sounds like grinding or rubbing come from under the car when it warms up to 1000rpm. The noise is not there above or below 1000rpm, but right about there it pops up. It happens in any gear and while I'm parked or driving. The strange part is that even if I cold start the car for the second time in a day after it has cooled down, it doesn't make the noise again. Any idea what this could be?
