Strange noise heard while pressing on gas

I will def check this out when I get home later today. I am somewhat thinking my issue is something else, I say this because my "MMMmmmm" sound is coming from the drivers side front, not the passengers side.
RMD139 might want to check this out because he described his noise coming from the passenger side.
Ill check this out later...If its not the cat shield I will know after I get my rig to the mechanic tomorrow.

I just got a call from the mechanic. He could not find anything wrong with the vehicle and nothing was making any noise or loose while he had it on the lift. He thinks its the road noise from the tires...Im not so sure because it's never done this before.
I am having him change the diff/ transfer case fluids and grease all the fittings because this is one thing I forgot/neglected to do. I know RMD138 changed his front diff thinking that was his issue and the noise did not go away.
Another thing I forgot to check was the spare tire to see if it is loose.
When I get it back Ill see if this helps ad will let you all know.

I check the cat shield, its not loose or making any noise when I hit it. Also, checked my spare tire too, thats snug.
Still making noise...not sure where to go from here. I guess Ill deal with it until it really starts making noise all the time. Im sure when I head back to NH from SLC it'll be roaring, just hope I make it back. HA!

Believe it or not but it looks like I fixed it.
I spent some time today under the truck trying to find the source of that annoying/alarming noise and I finally found that the heat shield on top of the muffler (not the cat converter heat shield) had one loose nut . Tightened that nut and took my truck for a long test drive. The noise has gone!
I will report the final verdict tomorrow when I get home from commuting to work.

Got my magnaflow installed yesterday and i had the guy tac weld a loose corner of my cat heat shield. The nut and bolt that was holding that corner seemed to have rusted off. The muffler shop guy said that'll take care of that rattling noise under acceleration but I'm still hearing it! How difficult is it to grease the drivetrain? (shafts, joints, etc)
