Hey guys, so I've noticed in my truck that there is a strange vibration occurring at 100km/h+. It's constant but not overpowering like warped rotors or something.
Also, my truck has a lot of bounce and sway on the highway. Wind or a little unevenness causes the truck to bounce in the front like an old boat of a car. It also feels like it gets rocked side to side.
I'm trying to eliminate all the possibilities and I'd love your help to look into it!
My tires are 265/75/R16 Sailun All-Terrains. The PO put these on and they're brand new but I'm pretty sure it's a cheap Chinese brand. Could this be the culprit?
I'm pretty sure my LCA's and LBJ's are new due to the condition the mechanic said they were in as well as their paint job (aka, not rusty AF yet).
I replaced the shocks in the rear and that improved ride quality a bunch. Is it possible to swap out the shocks in the front without taking apart the assembly of the strut?
My shifter has a lot of shake at highway speeds (5 speed), but the vibration is still there when the clutch is pushed at 100km/h+ so I've ruled out the transmission.
Would old sway bar links cause body roll and sway?
What do you guys think?
