stripped emblems?

I've been nervous to do mine. With the amount of miles I'm afraid the paint would be too faded. I like the clean look myself.
It's not that tough to do, just use a hair dryer to heat up each emblem, and slowly peel them off. Then you can take a plastic putty knife to remove the glue that is left behind. Use windex and a microfiber to remove any glue residue that remains.

check your color, if its natural white like mine, you can use some polishing compound and it should make it less noticeable. Natural white is a unicoat or whatever the single system pain is for these thing. Bottom line, i know my color does not have clear coat. Thus buff until sufficiently invisible. My truck looked like crap then i spent about 5 hourse lightly polishing the redneck pinstripes out of it and it looks like a million buck now. Elbow grease will go a long way.

My rear "4Runner" emblem is starting to some off. It looks as if there is a lot of left over adhesive glue on the back. Not sure if it's just dust and stuff that got caught behind it, but it looks pretty nasty. I'm sure some goo-gone or other sticky remover would work to clean it up a bit.

I've taken all my rear emblems off with the exception of the Toyota emblem. It has holes in the body so I just left that one. If I remember correctly, I used a hair dryer to heat the glue up, then took some floss and kind of sawed the glue material off. Then used goo gone on the remaining glue. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Get one of these to get the adhesive off. Quick and easy. No worry about destroying clear coat with chemicals.
