Same problem here on '08 T4R. Since we tow a boat during the summer, I had the service done at a garage 15k miles ago. Ended up taking it back to them to bust it loose. Took the guy a while, but he finally got it.
The 10mm hex bit I bought had slightly rounded edges on the very end. The technician's did, too, but he borrowed a bit that was squared off from another technician. He then tapped it into the hole with a hammer and put his 200+ pounds on it. The truck was up on a hoist, so he could put his full weight on it. He had to use a screwdriver and a hammer to tap the bit out when he was done.
Got home and changed out the front diff fluid. After 15k miles it looked pretty clean. Put it all back together again using Anti-Seize on the plug and washer (both drain and fill plugs). Torqued each to 28 lb ft.
Next time I HOPE to have less of a problem. Used my Dremel tool and ground down the end of my 10mm hex bit just beyond the rounded edges so now the points on the end are sharp like the one the technician used.
