Stripped rear brake bleeder

I'm inexperienced working with brakes. I stripped the bleeder valve when I tried to flush the system. Does anyone have experience with this?

Do I need to disassemble the drum? If so, is there anything PM related I should do while I'm there?

You can just remove the bleeder with some vice grips and replace it and bleed the system. No biggie.

Hit it with the propane torch till the tip is red then remove it with a vice grip.

Next time you bleed it, crack it open with a 10mm socket to break it loose, then use the wrench to open & close. When finished, use the 10mm socket again to torque it down just a little. Works great and you will never strip one again.

Exactly how I do it and make sure you bleeders have a rubber cap on them. Don't over tighten them and operate them once a year.
