Struggles to start after a long drive

I've noticed this the last several months.

My commute to work is about 20 miles and 30 minutes long. I would stop at the gas station to grab coffee before getting into work; it would take 5 minutes or so.

After stopping, the car would struggle to start/ turn over which would cause me to crank it for 2-3x before it would start up again.

Any leads on what could be causing this? It normally only happens after a long drive as a short stint does not cause problems.

I'm having a similar problem. Starts up fine when cold, but after a 20 min drive, it's hard to start back up. it doesn't take extra cranks to start, it just turns over really slowly, like the starter is really struggling to turn everything.

It could be time to open up the starter and check brushes and the bearings and regrease it.
