Struts are Leaking

My Struts are about shot. I'm thinking about doing a mild lift instead of replacing them. I already have some cornfed spacers or something that fixes the droopy nose problem. I just don't know how much a lift would cost. I started poking around and the amount of mods under some peoples builds scares me. Can anyone give me an idea on how much an inexpensive lift would cost. I do not do a lot of offroading except one week a year I drive about 100 miles on sand in the Outer Banks. i got to go. my sister in law got a fish hook in her back

Bilsteins with fj springs would probably be the cheapest. and you can put the cornfed spacer up front.

I went with Tacoma TRD Offroad take offs. Can be found pretty cheap on Facebook marketplace from Tacoma owners that are upgrading. They are Bilstein 4600's and you can use the rear shocks as well with just a swap in the rear lower bushing.

I paired them with FJ Rear Springs, plenty of pics in my build thread in my signature.

Thanks for the suggestions. I got the hook out of my sister in laws back. I was going to mention that my CV axles or half shaft or whatever they are called are "slinging grease" my garage recommended that I replace them also. So I was looking at $1800 for the replacement/install of the half shaft and the struts with stock parts.

Oh god don’t pay that, that’s ridiculous. You can get some bilstein 5100’s and FJ Cruiser springs to accomplish a mild lift for a decent price. The CV axle I would recommend CVJ axles, great quality but make sure you get the OEM boot “upgrade”. Third suggestion is find a shop that won’t gouge you.

I laughed very hard at the original post with the fish hook by the way.

Same here. Just back from an awesome trail ride and this setup is golden (and inexpensive). See the link in my sig.
