Stuck between 2 tires need help

I like the the maxxis but I no they r a little loud and wear somewhat quick. The coppers look like a pretty good at. Need help guys. Have u all ran either one

i have run coopers and can vouch for there durability. I now run the general grabbers on a 2000 sport and the bf goodrich ta/ko2 on my 2016 trail... the generals or in your price point. good luck either way you will be supper happy with new tires.

MT tires are best if you do a lot of off-roading and that AT tire looks kinda mild, so I don't know how well it will perform off-road. Perhaps you could go for a balance and find a more aggressive AT tire, like a DuraTrac, KO2, or ST/Maxx?

I had DuraTracs on my H3 for years and it's a great all around tire that does very well off-road, but it's expensive these days. I currently have ST/Maxxs on my 4R and while I haven't had a chance to take them off-road yet, so far they handle very well and a lot of the reviews I have read say they are really good off-road as well.

Your tire choices are opposite ends of the spectrum. Your use will determine what you should go with but I wouldn't do either, I'd find the middle ground, duratrac, st maxx, ko2, etc
 
As others said the answer is going to depend on your use. For me it would be the Maxxis hands down. But my runner only sees 4-5000 miles a year and I try to make most of them on dirt.
 
Well the only reason I was looking at the maxxis is because they r a load range d. All other I looked at or found around me are load range e which I didn't want

If that's the only reason then cooper.. don't get mud tires if you don't see significant rock or mud.
As stated I would go mud because, like the other guy, mine sees maybe 5k a year and is my off road vehicle. I will basically just rotate them yearly.

What on earth did you do to get stuck between two tires? Can you reach your cell? Call for help?


But seriously the cooper is probably a better bet for general all around use.

Well my buddy works there and gets real good deals on certain tires. But he thinks he might b able to get me some others that don't show up on line like the cooper stt pro or maxx

I like the looks of the Maxx and people on this site seem to think it is a solid choice.

Same position I'm in right now....I want to order tires in the next week or two but I can't decide between a c load or an e load. I'd like to drive on rougher trails so I think I just have to bite the bullet and go with e.
 
I've ran the big horns in the past on my LC80. They are great tires...off road. They balanced out well and road well on-road, just are just loud and wear quickly.

So, you decide what you are planning to do with the tires and what is most important to you.

Want tires that are comfortable, better on road traction and will wear well? Coopers

Want tires that are great off-road, look awesome, but are noisey and don't handle the best on-road? Maxxis.
