Stupid Electronic Climate Control

I have a 02 Limited and the electronic climate controls (defrost, air, etc) can be a real pain. A lot of times I can't get it to switch from Inside to Outside air. Other times, it's impossible to get the front defrost button to work. I don't think the Auto button has ever worked right. It seems there's a magic order you have to press the buttons to get it to work. Or just get lucky....?

Am I crazy or does this happen to other people? Should I just replace that unit?

It happens to a lot of people. What I do that usually works is holding the OUT temp button while pushing the other button that I want to work. Try that. Or you can buy a remanufactured unit for around $150 I believe. Search the forums for the link.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it. Yea, I found one ebay store that you can send your unit in to get rebuilt with a lifetime warranty for $149....but don't really want to go without a unit in the winter

This is something you are just gonna have to deal with sooner or later. The Ltd. control panel is notorious for refusing to work. I have had mine replaced twice, once under warranty and once not ( to the tune of $500+). I'd suggest the reman'd route at the very least.
