stupid fan squeek!!!!!!! I'm gonna flip!

Okay I did a search about swaping to an electric fan just to get away from that insessive squeeking squilling whatever noise,
I HATE IT :goinposta STUPID FAN! TAKE THAT
and there is never any closure. Has anyone done it? If so who did you go with? Did it work okay? Did you have to put anything on that fan pully or just remove that pully and belt. Mine is an 87 4runner. I'm sure it takes a bit of work but I know I can handle it, and if I need to that veh can be down for a few days if needed to complete the work.

I know it is because the fan is not spinning and there is a reason for it but I feel like that A$$ hole who has squeeky brakes and can't fix his own car! And I hate those dweebs!

okay so I thught I wold reply to my own post just incase anyone has this problem. I talked to LC Engeneering today and the parts manager said it sounds like the clutch bad on my fan. He suggested that I use a flex fan system in lew of converting to an electric fan as I do not have losts of $$$$ to blow on my 4runner. The best part is is will free up a few ponies in the higher rpm's. hope this helps anyone with the same problem or who was considering changing your cooling system.

thanks for the LINK but I think I'm just gonna go with the flex fan, I know the electric fan will be the best solution but I really don't fell like explaing to the wife why I just dropped $200+ on a fan, or go to the yards and pull one that might crap out.

I find its best not to try explaining what Im spending money on my Toy for. but I can see where buying the cheaper fan would be better if your planning on spending in other areas.

whoa strange thing jusy happened my wife said "get the electric one if you want, you have been doing alot of research on it" and she didn't say I had to give up the headers,paint,safari rack, or wheels, and she didn't bitch at me being online most the day or the fact that me and a friend went on some light trails today. I wish I had a recorder. I should hide my civic keys incase she tries to run away tonight, although it would leave more $$$ for toys, and the interweb.
