So way back when me and my friend threw one of those ghetto high flow intakes from auto zone on his 2wd 4runner (it was basically an excuse for me to come over to his house and drink his beer haha). So yesterday his battery was dead and I jumpstarted it for him and I couldn't help but notice he had this flexible tube running from the filter to the original hole for the airbox. I lmfao when I saw it. He insisted that it sucked in cold air while allowing you to still have a high flow filtration system. I told him that his little pipe didn't give any cold air to the engine and that it only would work if he cove up the exposed filter. Long story short we made a 20 dollar bet and I really want that 20 bucks
. So whose right? I'll show him yalls responses later. Thanks, and here is a pic
