Stupid Question

Hello all, this is my first post, and I hopefully will be a 4runner owner this friday. I did the car fax on the vehicle I will be buying and its a 05 sport edition v6. It says its an all-wheel drive. In reading these forums, i gather that the V8's are the only all wheel drive runners. Is this true? thanks

Technically, none of them are all-wheel drive.
The V8's are always in the 4WD "high" setting, with a 4 "low" option. A V6 with 4WD has a 2 high setting as well, allowing you to disengage the 4WD system.

heres another question. I have seen 05 sport models with the front safari bar. Is that toyota installed? The one im looking at getting doesnt have that bar. Also is that something that is standard on the sport models with the spoiler. I.E. If it doesnt have the front bar, will it not have the spoiler? Thanks

No front bar comes standard on any of the models.

thanks for the reply. Im wicked excited to pick it up. I have to drive to jersey on friday from CT to get it. Should be its first test in the snow!!!
