History: I broke the harnesses. Then I replaced all the harnesses and the speedometer was erratic randomly. It gave errors for both front speed sensors being bad. I pulled them out and one was pretty greasy. Is it normal to have grease on one wheel speed sensor? I'm not sure how the knuckle is setup on these. I then replaced the two fronts with chinesium from Amazon and it wouldn't read at 31mph or 62mph but otherwise worked fine. The abs and brake light went off, I just needed to recalibrate the zero point. I never did that because atrac is annoying.
Today: the Speedo quit working, and brake light are on and throwing code P0500.
I'll throw the old sensors on tomorrow after I run a diagnostic tool to see if both fronts are "bad"
The 31 and 62mph thing seems suspicious though. Does this sound familiar?
I read a post where someone was swapping speed sensors in their tranny? Is that legit?
Also: I ran it for a while with bad harnesses, would this damage a sensor? I don't see why the sensors failed immediately after damaging the harness, and then sorta worked with new harnesses.
