Introduction
Some 2003 model year 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a squeak noise from the lower front area of the vehicle over sharp impact type bumps. The material of the front suspension bumper has been changed to improve this condition.
Applicable Vehicles^ 2003 model year 4Runner vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

Applicable Warranty *:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

^ The surface of the new parts are slippery to the touch.
^ The surface of the old parts are NOT slippery to the touch.
Repair Procedure
