Sub is Shot...

Not Sure which direction to go. Gona Ditch the FRS Radio Idea. JBL HU is Shot Pretty much too. Not sure if I should replace with Factory Sub/amp Unit or just go aftermarket and new Amp as Well. Like the Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8 P/3. Kicker has a Nice Unit as well. New HU ideas needed as well. Dont Need Nav. Wana run tunes off iphone and ipod.

Don't do what I just did and do one part at a time, I just ended up tearing the pos apart 10 times each time something else failed or sounded like garbage. In the end I did a pioneer dvd/cd/mp3 unit, JL 5 channel amp, infinity front components, infinity full range rear door speakers and a Kenwood 8" shallow mount sub in stock location. Best $1300 spent. Most of that cost was the head unit and amp. You can easily knock $500 off and s to ll have a great system if your on budget.

Can I disconnect the Sub till replaced? Just Rattles like Hell and sounds like Shit.

You can unplug the sub right above the amp and run it just fine. If you want a stock sub replacement, I can send you my old one if you pay for shipping.

Yes, gotta remove the plastic cover though, pretty big hassle
