That's what you'll need to tap into the existing sub wires. That is assuming you have the JBL Sythesis system. If not, then you'll have to tap into one of the rear speakers wires. Then just get a sub, box, amp, and all the wires you'll need to hook everything up and you're set!

Just get a line out converter and tap into the speaker wires behind the trim between the front and rear door
I was initially going to try and do the same thing. I ended up changing the head unit anyway. Now I have...

Bluetooth streaming
Hands free phone calls
Built in pandora, aha, and I heart radio
Rear USB support (connected to an external hdd in my glove box with all my mp3s)
I went with a single din to keep cost down and to attract less attention as opposed to a flashy touchscreen.
I have absolutely no regrets.

If the amp you get has speaker level inputs, there's no need to get a line out converter, just use the input on the amp.
