Subwoofer installation problem

I have a 2000 4Runner and recently bought some subs and an amp. The front door subs were 6-3/4" and fit near perfectly where my old ones went. However, my rear door subs are supposed to be 5-1/4" and the 5-1/4" inch subs that were sent to me are bigger than the ones that are already in the car. Any suggestions what to do? Has anybody experienced this problem before? Thanks in advance.

Firstly, none of those are subs. They are midrange speakers. Not trying to be a dick just educating you. How much to big are they. Sometimes I take a router or saw to the adaptor and enlarge them a bit if needed. Or possibly they are to big depth wise in which case you need to make a spacer. Maybe a picture would help.

Thanks for the info. The speakers I got were 5-1/4". The hole where the speaker was supposed to go is 4". I ended up just placing my new speaker in the hole and putting some silicone sealant around the edges. It works fine. It just surprised me that the original speakers weren't 5-1/4" like many sources said they should be. If you would like I could post a pic showing you what I did. Thanks man
