Suggestion for Ad Blocker for smartphone?

Given the limited storage available and the limited processing capacity, I'd not sweat ad's. There aren't that many ad's that pop up and those that do, I usually just 'x' out of 'em.

Phil, I have been using smart phones since they became smart and I have never even thought of using an ad blocker on them. Sure they pop up every now and then but I too just X out of them. Most websites you view on a smart phone are abbreviated versions (mobile version) of the full website and have a lot less ads.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am under the impression that they only work on rooted phones?

AdAway does work & well.

For iPhone, I use Disconnect Privacy Pro. It is VPN. I THINK Google banned it from Store because it also blocks Google data collection.

Well, after digging around, there is a way to install this app on Android...but via 3rd party install: Google Just Banned This Privacy Tool: How to Use Disconnect

Also, if you're not using anything that requires Data/Wifi, turning on airplane mode blocks ads.

Keeps all those 30 second ones from popping up in between Angry Birds levels
