Suggestions: HID conversion kits (PURE WHITE)

I'm looking for PURE WHITE, no blue at all.

Any suggestions T4R famlay?

if you don't want blue, get 4300k. That's the OEM color for HID.

if I got 5000k or 6000k would there still be any blue tint to it?

the ddm 55 watt kit is still using a 35 wat bulb that is over powered by the 55wat ballast, if u want true 55watt bulb and ballast, contact this guy [email protected] , his name is todd.

DDM is great to work with. I had my kit in 5 days. 35W is plenty, as for the color 5000K I got isn't blue, just bright white. Don't forget to re-aim your headlights after install if housing is non-HID.

If 4300 is available, that's probably your best bet. I have a 6k HIDextra kit on my GX470 and it's just a tad too blue for my taste, so I'm going to replace the bulbs with 5k ones. The kit from HIDextra was almost too cheap to be legit, but they've been on for almost 8 months now and the only problem I had was one of my ballasts died on me, but all I had to do was email customer service a pic of the ballast with the wire cut (proving that no one could ever use it) and they sent me a new one priority mail for free. They have a 1 year warranty on all parts. At the current price of $60 a kit, it's a great deal if you want quality on a budget.

I just ordered the Raptor HID Kit, 35W, H4 High / Low, 4500K for my '98. Stock lights are so bad. Did you order the HID Harness? I called and the gentleman said it was to prevent flickering and some vehicles need it. I ordered without it. I saw the pictures on another thread and they are bright!

DDM for a good cheap kit. VVME for a little more expensive. Xenon Depot is a lot more expensive, but probably a little more reliable. I would stay away from Ebay. It really all comes down to how much you want to spend.

If these are for your headlights then I would go with 35w. 55w is brighter and makes the color whiter.

If your going with 35w I would stay with 4,300k or 5,000k.

I just got DDM kit for my fog lights. They worked great. DDM is local to me so I saved on the shipping. Customer service was great. The kit look very good quality for the price. I just installed this morning and have not get chance to see how it light up at night yet.

I ordered the harness for my GX kit, but ended up not needing it at all. The kit was literally plug and play on my GX, I have heard it's just plug and play on the 3rd Gen T4R's as well, but as you said, some use it to avoid flickering, but I haven't noticed any flickering in my GX kit or in any other kits on my friends' vehicles that have HID kits and don't have the harness.

Bottom line: you should be just fine w/out it.

Went with DDM.

Stayed with the 35w 4500k and loving it.

Sometimes I think about wanting to go 55W but 35w is bright enough.

Dont need HID Harness, all you need is in the kit.

I'm trying to get this raptor kit as well... I'm looking at HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning. But it doesn't say if it fits my car or not. I have a 2003 t4r and I just want to be sure it'll fit my car before I make the purchase. Also, do I need the adapter cables and the error code eliminator?

You don't need the harness or the error code eliminator. I think you need a 9006 bulb. You might want to double check me though.

So...its just plug and play on the 3rd gens? All you have to do is remove the light bulb and plug in the new one? :cheers: I should have done this years ago. Please confirm my assumptions
